    The consciousness disturbance disappeared earlier in patients with the anti-GQ1b antibody than it did in those without the antibody (p = 0.014). Conversely, there was no significant difference in the median time of ophthalmoplegia and ataxia between the 2 groups. n.s. = not significant.
